While it’s not as popular as other racket games, pickleball is gaining more fans all around the world. It’s a lot like tennis but on a much smaller scale. And in a city like Las Vegas—where plenty of retirees come to unwind but still live an active lifestyle—its popularity is rising exponentially.
Las Vegas is an ideal place to play pickleball, thanks to its sunny weather. So, it comes as no surprise that it’s slowly becoming a go-to place to play this underrated sport.
There are plenty of places in Las Vegas to play pickleball. Many hotels have their own tennis courts that they can easily convert into pickleball courts. Parks around the city also have their own courts where you can play for free or for a small one-time price.

1. The Plaza Hotel & Casino

The Plaza Hotel is one of the most popular places to play pickleball in Las Vegas. You’ll find 12 permanent pickleball courts in the resort’s 5th-floor pool deck, which is 70,000 sq. ft. big. They also have one huge championship court that can be divided into four temporary pickleball courts.
The courts are all hard, outdoor courts made of wood. They have permanent lines and netting, so you don’t have to worry about setting it up on your own.
The hotel offers free pickleball lessons every week who want to learn how to play for the first time. You’ll do drills to work out, learn the rules of the game, and play it with new pickleball techniques.
The free classes are instructed by national pickleball champion Steve Cole. They include beginner and intermediate clinics.
Guests who are checked in at the Plaza Hotel get to use the pickleball courts for free if they show their room key. Non-hotel guests must pay a fee of $15 to reserve a court for two hours. This fee is bumped down to $10 for locals who can present a Nevada ID.
You can rent out pickleball paddles at the court, which are worth $7 per rental. This rental already includes one ball.
2. Sunset Park Pickleball Complex

Out of any place to play pickleball in Las Vegas, the Sunset Park Pickleball Complex has the most courts available. They have 24 smooth, outdoor, concrete courts with lights, permanent lines, and netting. They also have four championship courts. It’s the perfect place for pickleball tournaments.
Some of the courts in the complex are dedicated to challenges. That means you can come in and play against the current winner. You don’t need to make a reservation to play in a challenge. Just leave your paddle in line at the court to challenge the winner in another game.
The best part about playing at the complex is that it’s absolutely free as long as you make a reservation. As one of the most popular places to play pickleball in Vegas, the complex can get crowded. So, making a reservation is always best.
3. The Carriage House (New Owner of Bally’s Pickleball Courts)

- Hours: Monday to Sunday 8 AM to 10 PM
- Rates: Free for hotel guests; Starts at $25 per hour for non-hotel guests
The Carriage House is a 3-star hotel along East Harmon Ave that owns four pickleball courts within their resort. These courts are a new acquisition for the hotel, as they were previously owned by Bally’s before they rebranded to Horseshoe Las Vegas.
These pickleball courts are the only ones you will find along the Las Vegas Strip. Because of that, they’re a bit pricier than playing the game off the Strip.
Renting out the pickleball courts is free for hotel guests but costs $25 per hour for non-hotel guests. Paddle rental is also free for guests but will cost $10 per day for non-hotel guests. To make a reservation, sign up at The Carriage House’s concierge.
Pickleball clinics and pro lessons are available here as well. Clinics start at $30 per person for an hour and a half with a minimum of four people per class. Meanwhile, pro pickleball lessons start at $125 per hour for hotel guests and $150 for non-hotel guests.
You can also buy sports apparel and pickleball equipment at The Carriage House’s pro shop, which sells paddles, balls, and more. The shop is open from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Sunday.
4. Westgate Las Vegas Resort

Westgate Las Vegas has six tennis courts that can be turned into pickleball courts. You’ll find them in the resort’s 3rd-floor, 10,000 sq. ft. pool deck. There’s also a nearby fitness center in case you want to squeeze in a workout between matches.
The six hard, outdoor courts have permanent nets and lines. You also get free access to the pool deck’s restrooms to freshen up after your match. If you want to reserve a court in advance, you can call Westgate’s Serenity Spa to book an appointment.
5. Robert E. “Bob” Price Recreation Center
- Address: 2050 Bonnie Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89156
- Hours: Monday to Friday 7 AM to 7 PM; Closed on Saturday and Sunday
- Rates: Free, but they don’t take reservations
The Bob Price Recreation Center along Bonnie Lane has six pickleball courts with hard and concrete surfaces. Three of them are outdoor courts, while three are indoor courts. All courts have nets that are permanently mounted.
Playing on the pickleball courts here is free, but you can only walk in to play. They don’t currently take reservations. When you play in the facility, you’ll have access to amenities like restrooms and free drinking water. While you can rent out wooden paddles at the facility, you need to bring your own balls.
The courts are found on the facility’s gymnasium floor, where you can also find a basketball court, fitness center, and a gaming room.
6. Cougar Creek Park

- Hours: Monday to Friday 6 AM to 11 PM
- Rates: Free
Cougar Creek Park is a recreational park where you can enjoy picnics and playgrounds with your children, but it’s also a place to play a good game of pickleball for free. They have two outdoor hard courts with permanent nets and lines.
The park is open from early in the morning to late at night. The courts are well-lit when it gets dark. It also has on-site restrooms where you can freshen up after your match.
7. Bill Briare Park

- Hours: Monday to Sunday 7 AM to 11 PM
- Rates: Free
Another Las Vegas park where you can play pickleball for free is Bill Briare Park. This 10-acre park has walking and jogging trails, play areas for kids, and four hard, outdoor pickleball courts. All the courts have lights, permanent lines, and nets.
Aside from playing pickleball here, you can also sign up for workouts at Las Vegas’ very first Fitness Court every Tuesday at 9 AM and Friday at 2 PM.
8. Aloha Shores Park

Aloha Shores Park has four outdoor clay courts dedicated to pickleball. These courts all have permanent lines and netting. While you can’t make reservations in advance, you can always walk in and play for free. There are also amenities like free drinking water and restrooms available here.
There is a lot of open space in this park, so it’s also perfect for picnicking after your match. You can also hit the volleyball courts, tennis courts, or walking tracks when you’re done playing pickleball.
