Top of the World Restaurant
Top of the World opened more than ten years ago and has evolved to become a must-visit spot in Las Vegas. Although it was originally headed by Executive Chef Stephen Wolff but it has changed hands and evolved over the years.
To enter Top of the World, there’s a velvet rope and a podium at the bottom of the Stratosphere. A smartly dressed member of staff will guide you to the elevator and deliver you 105 floors up. This elevator is not one of the faint of heart, traveling 20 miles per hours, meaning you ascend into the stratosphere in less than 30 seconds.
This elevator ride will take to the Romance Lounge, one level below the Top of the World restaurant. This main desk on this floor will help verify your reservations and one of the hosts will guide you to your table.
The décor is bright and modern, cream-colored, with high ceilings and contemporary architecture. The Top of the World dining room is perfectly circular with every seat having an outstanding view of the Las Vegas skyline. Seating options include half-circle booths which face the windows and then two rows of tables.
This is a fantastic spot to grab the sun setting over the city. The whole spin takes 80 minutes, so you can enjoy a changing view as you eat your dinner. Don’t worry if you randomly see a body flying past, as there is a bungee jump experience on top of the restaurant. The service is slow and relaxed, allowing you to enjoy the full 360 degree rotation.

This menu is on the pricey side because you are paying for the view, but the food is still high-end and tasty. Although the Executive Chefs change, the crowd pleading American-themed menu remains. Based around fresh fish and prime-cut meat, there is something for all people and all age groups.
Seafood lovers will love the shellfish platter, the charred ahi tuna or the oysters. They can also enjoy roasted lobster tails, whole lobster mac and cheese as well as calamari fries.
For entrées, Top of the World has a popular grill which includes 16oz bone-in dry-aged prime, rack of lamb, New York strip and tomahawk chop. Their grill menu comes with optional accompaniments of stuffed roaster lobster, lump crab, tomato and garlic butter prawns, smoked blue cheese crus or bacon jam. Sauce includes favorites like red wine, peppercorn, bearnaise and horseradish cream.
Sides include American comfort foods like crunchy green beans, baked potatoes, French fries and baked corn pudding. The dessert menu features cheesecakes, sorbets and cakes that mix traditional flavors and modern techniques.
A wine list includes labels from France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Napa Valley, Australia, South Africa and South America. Their cocktail menu has all the classic you would expect from a Vegas spot, including seasonal old-fashioned, white cosmos and margaritas. They even have a rare and allocated menu for those who want some classic wine and spirits with their meal.
After dinner, you can head to the Sky Lounge, just above the Top of the World on the 107th floor. They enjoy the same open vista and rotating panoramic views of the Las Vegas skyline. This is a popular late-night cocktail spot as is home to a range of signature cocktails including the Godiva Chocolate Martini.
When you are visiting Top of the World, you should also head up to the incredible open-air 360-degree observation deck on the 110th floor. Enjoy the fresh Vegas air and look over the Nevada city. When is Top of the World open?
The Top of the World restaurant opens at 4pm and closes at 11pm. In the summer months, between June and August, the restaurant opens between 5pm and midnight. You can book a table by calling the venue between 7am and 10pm or anytime online.
What is the dress code for Top of the World restaurant?
Top of the World Restaurant has a strict upscale dress code. This means they do not allow people to enter who are wearing gym attire or beachwear. They also will not let in people wearing inappropriately revealing clothing. Casual athletic apparel like hats, baggy clothing, jerseys, sleeveless shirts and flip flops are allowed.
Top of the World take their dress code seriously and the management will reserve the right to refuse the service of inappropriately dressed patrons, even if they have a reservation. They certainly have a tougher dress code than many other restaurants in Las Vegas.

What are the Top of the World menu prices?
The Top of the World restaurant is not the most cost-efficient restaurant in Las Vegas, but it’s worth it for the views and general experience. The shellfish display for two costs a steep $90, but you can enjoy a selection of the best fresh shellfish. Starts cost between $20 and $25, whilst an item from the grill will cost over $70 but entrees are priced between $40 and $70.
All sides are priced at $15 and desserts come in between $10 and $15. Cocktails are around the $20 mark. There is no minimum spend, but one entrée is required per guest or food purchase of equal value $55 minimum.
What is the best table at the Top of the World?
There are lots of seating options at Top of the World but there are no bad tables. Every table has a spectacular view because the entire restaurant is a circle. The closer you are to the window, the better the views, of course if you suffer from motion sickness, you might want to sit a little closer to the center. The whole outer rim rotates, with the inner working parks remaining stationary, so there are no bad views.
Is Top of the World child friendly?
Whilst the restaurant is accepting of children and babies, there is no children’s menu. This spot is usually better suited to couples as it’s incredibly romantic but there is no reason well-behaved kids and babies can’t enjoy dinner.
