Pop diva Britney Spears is known for many things. In the 90s, the teenage sensation was dubbed the “Princess of Pop.” In the 2000s, all eyes were on her as she battled it out in the courtroom to fight for the end of her conservatorship.

But between 2013 and 2017, the Womanizer singer was most known for giving people the time of their lives in her Piece of Me residency concert in Las Vegas.

Residencies come and go in Vegas—locals and tourists are used to icons taking the stage at Sin City. But now that rumors are flying about Britney holding a residency in Resorts World Las Vegas, people are buzzing.

But is it true? Will we see Britney grace the Vegas stage once more for a residency? Let’s take a look at what we know about the rumored Britney Spears residency at Resorts World Las Vegas.

Britney’s History with Sin City

Las Vegas hotels and resorts are known to invite music legends and other celebrities to hold a “residency” with them. As a resident performer, you play a big number of shows in a given period.

Some notable Vegas residencies include that of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Park in the 50s, and Celine Dion at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in 2003.

Today, there are also short-term Las Vegas resident performers. For example, this year, Adele performed at Caesars Palace for almost the entire month of March. Usher and Garth Brooks each had their own residencies in other Vegas hotels earlier this year, too.

So, what does Britney’s Las Vegas residency history look like? We can answer that in one word—electrifying.

In late 2013, Britney Spears started her Piece of Me residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. It was originally supposed to run for just two years. However, critics and fans alike absolutely loved her performances. So, the residency was extended until 2017.

The shows had iconic “club-like” performances, such as a dance break where Britney sings her most popular songs like “Oops…I Did It Again” and “Baby One More Time.” There are also sweeter moments, like when she sings her hit “Everytime” while flying and wearing huge angel wings.

When the Piece of Me concert residency officially concluded in December of 2017, Britney had done almost 146 performances in Planet Hollywood. Almost one million tickets had been sold at around $150 apiece. It was a huge commercial success as it grossed a total of $138 million.

A Residency in Talks? Resorts World Wants Britney Bad!

As great as the iconic Piece of Me residency was, the most important thing for Britney Spears fans is to look forward. And my, does the future look bright for Miss Spears in Vegas.

To be honest, there aren’t any confirmations as of writing about Britney hitting the Las Vegas stage again for another concert residency. However, it looks as if Resorts World Las Vegas is working on booking her again.

Word around town is that Resorts World badly wants Britney to be a resident performer for them. They want her so bad that they’ve been treating her and her beau out to luxurious Las Vegas getaways to woo her and win her heart.

In March 2022, Britney Spears and her then-fiancé (now husband) Sam Asghari stayed at the Crockfords Presidential Suite, which is found within Resorts World. And in May 2022, they were seen in Resorts World again, this time with even more royal treatment.

Britney and Sam stayed in a three-bedroom “palace” in the resort. It had a private pool (where they took lots of cute couple photos), a game room, and an entertainment room. Seems like the perfect gift if they were really courting her for a residency concert.

During their stay, the resort showed Britney just how much they loved her by plastering “Resorts World Loves Britney” on their gigantic LED screen in the West Tower.

It looks like Britney’s relationship with Resorts World is going great. Both parties seem to be eager about the idea of another Britney residency to wow crowds and give the pop icon another comeback. Rumor has it they’re already in talks for her return to Vegas, but nothing is confirmed.

Are More Performances Coming?

The last time Britney had a residency concert in Vegas, she was still under her conservatorship. She had a lot of restrictions then. She even said in an interview that she only ever went out in Vegas to have fun twice during her entire stay there.

Now that Britney’s conservatorship is over, she has a lot more freedom to do what she wants in her career. Fans are crossing their fingers that this means getting to see her again in an epic Las Vegas residency concert.

So, will we see Britney in Resorts World Las Vegas soon? The simple answer is we don’t know, and we should give Britney the chance to finally make decisions for herself about where she wants to perform next.

But here’s a little something to hold on to. Back in May 2022, Scott Sibella—the president of Resorts World—said that “[Britney] loves the property and we love having her.” Is that a hint about what’s to come? We’ll find out soon enough.

Britney fanatics are holding their breath to find out whether the pop legend will hold a residency in Sin City again. Unfortunately, there are no set dates or even a sure confirmation about a Britney residency that will take Resorts World Las Vegas by storm.

But one thing’s for sure—Britney Spears’ career is far from over. She’s still living that vivacious life, enjoying Vegas when she drops by, and creating vibrant pop music now and then.

Her good relationship with Resorts World Las Vegas gives her fans a lot of hope that a residency is just around the corner. When we do see Britney again on the Strip, hopefully, her performances will be as electrifying as those in the Piece of Me concerts at Planet Hollywood.
